Gonçalo Ivo (b. 1958, Brazil). Lives and works in Paris and Teresópolis, Brazil. Studied at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro with Aloisio Carvão and Sérgio Campos Melo. Holds an MFA from the Faculty and Urban Planning of Architecture, Universidade federal Fluminense, Rio de Janeiro.
He has been exhibiting his work since the late 1970s in countries around the world. His work has been the focus of over 40 solo exhibitions.
