Nachshon Adi

Nachshon Adi, (B. 1980) Israel, lives and works in Tel Aviv.

Adi Nachshon’s sculptures occupy a world verging on the fantastical. At once realistic and imaginary, his almost grotesque figures are both threatening and abused. The dominance of grease, tools and rough edges in his work is evocative more of a mechanic’s garage than an artist’s studio. Employing these industrial materials to create fleshy textures, the sculptures’ sensuality, teamed with obvious violence, is distressingly alluring.
