Teclemariam Fetsum (b. 1972, Eritrea) Lives and works in Edmonton. Immigrated to Israel in 2007 seeking political asylum. In Eritrea, she worked as a mathematics teacher and as a self-thought artist. Graduate of “Hatahana” school for figurative drawing and painting, Tel Aviv. Teclemariam paints mainly from observation, in the classic tradition. Held a solo exhibition at Hanina Gallery of Contemporary Art, Tel Aviv.
