Weinstein Gal (b. 1970, Israel) Lives and works in Tel Aviv. Holds a BFA from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem. Participated in many group exhibitions in Israel and abroad and represented Israel at the 25th Sao Paolo Art Biennial in 2002 and at the 57th Venice Biennale in 2017. Held several solo exhibitions including at The Helena Rubinstein Pavilion, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Riccardo Crespi Gallery, Milan and at the Kunsthaus Baselland, Basel. Recipient of several awards including the Kollner Award for Excellent Young Artists, The Israel Museum, Jerusalem, in 2006 and the Isracard and Tel Aviv Museum of Art Prize in 2004. Known for his use of unconventional materials such as steel wool, carpets, felt, and artificial turf. His unique artwork can be found in various collections around the world.
